NUTRITION

Build your ride-day fueling checklist

Turn bottles, food and café stops into a repeatable preparation routine.

Cycling and ride preparation

Plan around the ride

Look at the route, expected duration, weather and opportunities to refill. Decide what you will carry and where supplies will be available. A remote loop needs a different plan from a ride with regular stops.

Prepare before you leave

Fill bottles, pack familiar food and check that everything is reachable while riding. Read product labels and note what you have packed, so you can describe your routine accurately afterwards.

Use training to learn

Keep a short note of what you took, what you actually used and how comfortable it felt. Discuss recurring issues and individual intake targets with a qualified sports dietitian. Avoid making an important event your first experiment with a new product.

Make a reusable checklist

Save a packing list for your usual routes. Include bottles, food, refill locations and a backup option for delays. Update it after the ride while the details are fresh.
